MLB Sports Handicappers Preview Detroit (40-34) at Minnesota (41-34)

We did get winning sports picks this weekend with Argentina over Mexico in the World Cup and we look to continue that success. While the Chicago White Sox are making a run at the division they will be happy to see the two teams ahead of them square off over the next three days. Division leader Minnesota Twins will host the Detroit Tigers with the winner more the likley will lead the division heading into the all-star break.  As the second round of inter-league play ended on Sunday the Tigers shaved off 4 games in the process as the Twins managed just a 5 – 9 inter-league record as they return home to host the Tigers tonight. Minnesota is 23 – 13 at home and I am sure glad to return to the comfort of their home digs.

Bonderman will take the hill in game one of the series and he has not faced the Twins in a starting roll since 2008. Bonderman has 14 career starts against the Twins going 3 - 6 with an ERA of 5.40. The Twins will counter with Francisco Liriano who has faced the Tigers once this year already and twice in 2009, he is 3 – 0 in those 3 starts allowing just 5 runs in a total of 22.1 innings.  The Tigers are just 2 - 6 the last times they have faced the Twins and just 28 - 65 the last 93 meetings played in Minnesota.

Be sure to check out the shark tracker and see where we stand for the year.
